Description
cast seated in dhyanasana on a double lotus base, his right hand in bhumisparshamudra and his left in dhyanamudra, wearing a shawl and dhoti, its loose folds falling over his crossed legs and left shoulder, the full face with meditative expression, traces of gilt-lacquer decoration
Condition
The figure is in good overall condition with the exception of some small casting flaws to the figers on the right hand, the right forearm in particular, an old repair of circa 1cm., diam., to the back of the head (possibly contemporary to manufacture), some small nibbles to the extremities of the base (left from corner) and overall loss to the gilded and lacquer decoration.
