Description

of flaring U-shape, the rich toffee-coloured horn finely carved around the foot with a band of tumultuous foaming waves, to the rear of the vessel three writhing chilong form the handle, the interior of the rim with a key-fret band 

Condition

The cup is in good overall condition with the exception of loss to a circa 1cm., long section of the large chilong's tail forming the handle, a 5mm., wide U-shaped shallow rim chip, minor short hairline age cracks running up to the rim and minor rim nibbles.
