Description
the ovoid body rising from a recessed base to a short narrow flanged neck, the shoulder set with a pair of small loop handles, freely carved around the exterior through the lustrous dark brown glaze to the buff body with a broad central band of leafy lotus and peony scroll, below a foliate scroll band at the shoulder, the base unglazed
Condition
The jar is in good overall condition with the exception of restoration to a chip (circa 1cm., wide) at the rim and associated overpainting to the rim and neck, and minor glaze scratches around the body.
