Description

the rounded body rising to a cylindrical neck terminating in an everted floral-form rim, carved with a wide band of flowers, covered with a pale greyish-blue glaze, 15.8cm., 6 1/4in; together with a Qingbai bowl, Song Dynasty, carved to the interior with multiple floral roundels

Condition

With the exception of short firing hairline cracks encircling the base of the neck and three resultant chips to the glaze; two short glaze gaps to the shoulder (approx. 8mm each); one short firing crack to the base; overall hairline cracks to the glaze and minor firing and glazing imperfections; and very light scratches to the glaze, the vase is in very good condition. The bowl is also in good condition, apart from minor nibbling to the rim; a pin head-size frit to the interior; overall hairline cracks to the glaze and firing and glazing imperfections; and light scratches to the glaze.
