Description
the cup with deep rounded sides rising from a short spreading foot, the stand of flower form rising from a high spreading foot, covered overall with an ice-blue glaze save for the rim of the cup, 9cm., 3 1/2 in; together with a Qingbai bowl, Song Dynasty, of foliate form, the interior carved with 'petals' radiating out from the base
Condition
The cup and stand are in excellent condition, with only very minor nibbling to the rim of the cup; a short hairline crack to the glaze at the base of the upper section; and very minor overall rubbing.
The bowl is in fair condition, with the exception of two chips to the rim (approx. 5mm, 8mm); a small flake to the foot (approx. 7mm) five hairline cracks (ranging from approx. 2cm to 5cm) extending down from the rim, visible from the interior and exterior; slight nibbling to the rim; overall hairline cracks to the glaze, and firing and glazing imperfections; and minor rubbing and scratching to the glaze.
