Description

each body with gently rounded side rising from a short tapering foot to an everted rim, painted and polychrome enamelled to the interior with a medallion enclosing a shou-character encircled by ruyi-shaped strapwork, all with in double lines

Condition

This pair of dishes are in good condition overall with the exception of an approx. 5mm chip to the rim and seven pin head-size firing impurities to the rim of one dish; and three chips to the rim (approx. 2mm by 4mm, 4mm, 8mm), twelve areas of flaked enamel to the side of the exterior, three areas of flaked enamel to the interior, one pin head-size firing impurity to the well of the interior; and minor overall scratching to the enamel and glaze of both dishes.
