Description

of baluster form, freely painted around the exterior with four phoenix in flight amidst fire and cloud scrolls, all between a band of breaking waves at the base and a cloud collar at the short waisted neck

Condition

This freely painted jar is in fair overall condition with the exception of restoration and over-painting to the rim, two 2cm., hairline rim cracks, a 2cm., diam., glaze firing flaw on the body and a 2cm., wide blister to the lower body, some minor firing imperfections including iron-spot glaze imperfections, pinhead-sized glaze holes and light glaze scratches.
