Description

the figure wearing loose-fitting robes seated with his left hand in dhyanamudra, inlaid with semi-precious stones, signed Yu ...., 7.3cm., 2 5/8 in; together with another creamy beige soapstone figure of a Luohan, 17th/18th Century, seated and holding a ruyi sceptre in his right hand

Condition

The seated luohan is in good condition with the exception of restoration to the neck, which appears to have been a clean break; a tiny to chip to the nose; a chip to the robes to the left knee; minor wear to the painted details and light scratches. The luohan holding the ruyi sceptre has restoration to his right hand and handle of the sceptre, which appears to have been a clean break, a tiny chip to the lower lip, to the fingers on his left hand, to his left knee, two to his right hand; light scratches and slight wear to the painted detail; otherwise it is in good condition.
