Description

each of oval form, brightly enamelled to the interior with characteristic pattern depicting cut fruit and leafy hibiscus sprays

Condition

With the exception of two small firing imperfections (approx. 2mm each) near the rim, and the misfire and resulting loss of enamel to the tips of the leaves of one dish (which is characteristic of thickly applied enamel); four indistinct markings to the base of the other dish; small areas of rubbing and flaking to the enamel, pinhead-size iron spots scattered overall, pinhole-size glazing imperfections concentrated to the edges of the rims, kiln grit adhered to the edges of the foot, and light overall scratches to the enamel of both, these dishes are in good condition.
