the figure wearing armour under his robes, holding his belt with his right hand, seated on a tiger skin, 25cm., 9 7/8in; together with a figure of Buddha, holding a pearl in his left hand, standing on a lotus base, 32.4cm., 12 3/4in.

Figure of Guandi: with the exception of two small areas to the extremities of the robe at either side of the elbows (1cm, 1.5cm) and to the top of the headscarf, which appear to have been ground down; minute nibbles to the edges of the robes; short hairline firing cracks to the base of his right lapel, to the top of the right sash of the headscarf, to the back of the right sleeve extremity; minor glazing imperfections; kiln grit adhere to the base, a tiny chip to the tip of the fourth finger of his left hand; and very light overall scratches, the figure is in very good condition. Figure of Buddha: This figure is in very good condition with the exception of restoration to the neck and his left hand, which appear to have been clean breaks; four small sections to the edges of the robe (approx. 1cm each), one above his right elbow and three to the chest area, which appear to have been ground down; three hairline firing cracks to the underside of the base that extend up the interior, one of which is visible from the exterior, near his left foot; minor firing imperfections; and very light overall scratches.
