each seated in Royal Ease and wearing loose-fitting robes and a necklace with a ruyi head pendant, one figure holding a ruyi sceptre in her left hand and leaning on a low table, impressed He Zong Chao marks to each
Condition
These two figures are in good condition, with the exception of:
Simple figure of Guanyin: restoration to the foot and both hands; a three-point hairline firing crack extending from the base over his right shoulder and intersecting at the chest with a two-point hairline crack rising from his left up over his left shoulder; a six-point hairline crack rising from the base up and across the back; a 0.6cm flake to the front edge of the robes; minute nibbles to the edges of the robes and veil; minor glazing imperfections; and very light overall surface scratches.
Figure of Guanyin holding sceptre: a four-point hairline firing crack to the interior of the figure, some of which are visible from the exterior, and associated hairline glaze cracks; a 0.2cm chip to the outermost left fold of the robe at the base; minor glazing impurities concentrated mainly to the lower folds of the robe; and very light surface scratches.
