Description
the figure seated on a tiger skin clutching his beard, 29.5cm., 11 5/8 in, together with a blanc de chine figure of Guanyin, the figure with an elaborate head-dress and loose-fitting robes, reclining on lotus and swirling waves, and a blanc de chine model of a log raft, 20th Century, holding four Immortals
Provenance
The Guandi figure, Sotheby's London 13th June, 2003, lot 359; the reclining figure of Guanyin, Christie's London, 14th June 2001, lot 347; the log raft, Christie's London, 12th November 2004, lot 71.
Condition
The three pieces are in good overall condition with the exception of minor firing imprefections and: (Guandi) loss to the tip of the front of his cap; (log raft) restoration to the tip of the musicians flowing scarf, minor loss to the tips of the basket of flowers and to the tips of the leaves at the head of the stern.
