Description
the finely carved figure wearing loose-fitting robes, decorated with cloud scrolls and hemmed with lotus, seated with his index finger of his left hand raised, his right hand resting on his bent left knee, 9cm., 3 1/2in; together with a creamy-beige soapstone figure of a Luohan, 18th century, seated holding a bowl in his right hand and supporting a monkey with his right

Sydney Moss Ltd., 1978; and Spink and Son Ltd., 1978.
Condition
With the exception of restoration to the neck, which appears to have been a clean break, to the figure with a monkey; restoration to the left hand, tiny nibbles to the edge of the base of the other figure; and slight wear to the painted facial details and very minor scratching to both, these figures are in very good condition.
