ink and colour on paper, depicting an imperial hunting scene over four panels with an arc of riders around a central group, behind further riders shooting at deer, rabbits and birds

The four paintings are in very good overall condition with the exception of minor creases and tears, light rubbing specifically to the blue pigments and small areas of re-touching: in addition, the left panel has a 12cm., long diagonal tear to the rocks to the lower section, and a 9x6x6cm., wide four-pointed tear to the rocks in the upper section; the 2nd panel has loss of blue pigemnt to the figures tunics and the flag; the third panel has a 20x14cm., three-pointed tear to the top right section, a 1x12cm., vertical tear and restoration to the rocks at middle right, and a 14cm., wide horizontal tear to the bottom red flag; and the fourth far right panel has small areas of loss and re-touching to the sky, two horizontal creases and some cracking and flaking through extending through the shot deer to the right edge of the work.
