Description

the deep rounded sides rising from a short spreading foot to a lipped rim, carved in high relief to the interior with a pair of goldfish, the exterior with a broad band enclosing the bajixiang and set at the rim with a pair of lotus handles suspending loose rings, the stone of pale celadon tone

Condition

This bowl is in good condition, with the exception of ivory-coloured speckles to the stone that are visible on the exterior and interior and concentrated to one side of the bowl; two hairline cracks (approx 6cm, 1cm) extending down from the rim near a handle to the foot; short scratches to the interior; a caramel-coloured inclusion to the foot and resultant flake (0.5cm); and very minor nibbles to the rim and foot.
