Description
the evenly white circular disk carved as a Spanish eight-reales coin, on the recto with the head of Charles the Fourth, king of Spain, encircled by the legend CAROLUS IIII, DEI GRATIA, 1806, the verso with the Spanish coat of arms and the continued legend HISPAN ET IND REX M 8R T H ('Charles IV, by the grace of God, 1806, King of Spain and the Indies, 8 reales'); together with a silver Spanish coin, the prototype for the jade carving, dated 1806
Condition
Apart from 5 minute nicks to the edges of the jade, the overall condition is very good. The stone is of very even tone. The silver coin is in very good condition with only a few faint scratches to the surface.
