the shallow black-lacquered square tray inlaid with a group of scholars and their attendants gathering in the courtyard of a pavilion on a full moon night, the host standing in the doorway of the elaborately appointed pavilion, while his guests sit outside below lofty pine trees, all enclosed within a beautifully decorated balustrade wall, each of the four sides of the cavetto inlaid with five flower head on a feathery leaf scroll, the panels separated by inlaid silver wires, the exterior with chrysanthemum flowers on a foliate scroll
Condition
The overall condition is quite good with minor re-lacquering to the sides on the interior and exterior. There are a few minor flakes to the lacquering.
