Description

of circular form carved with a sinuous five-clawed dragon surrounded by lotus flowers issuing from a garden rock, wispy clouds, and a shou character rising from smoke, encircled on the cavetto with scrolling lingzhi and peaches, the exterior carved with chrysanthemum, peony, hibiscus, and camellia all borne on a continuous foliate scroll, supported on a short foot with a key-fret band, the base lacquered in black incised in gold with a six-character reign mark

Condition

The overall condition is quite good with minor restoration to consolidate chips to the foot and minor age cracks. The sides are slightly warped.
