Description

the shallow and lightly incised rectangular tray flared sides enclosing two confronting 'five-claw' dragons chasing 'flaming pearls' amongst waves and ruyi-shaped clouds, the centre decorated with double-axe standards held in a vase and a pair of conch shells above pointed rock formations, reserved on wan diaper ground,  the exterior body is surrounded by meandering foliate scrolls with a lotus flower on each side, below a band of key-fret scrolls, the underside lacquered in black and incised with an eight-character Daming Wanli bingchen nianzhi mark

Condition

The overall condition is very good with consolidated chips repaired on the interior corners. The underside appears to be in original condition.
