Description

elegantly potted, the sides gradually rising to a slightly flared rim from a short foot, painted in soft underglaze-blue and brilliant enamels, the main exterior of the body surrounded by four makaras, each encircled within a foliate medallion, separated by upright and pendant triangular florets and leaves, all between single and double-lined borders near the mouthrim and above the foot individually, inscribed on the base with a apocryphal six-character Chenghua mark within double-squares in underglaze-blue

The overall condition is very good with no scratches to the enamelling.
