Description
each of circular section, the slender spherical body supported on a short bell-shaped base and surmounted by a trumpet neck, with four vertical rows of angular fret flanges running up the sides of the vase, the body decorated in colourful champlevé enamels with archaistic motifs against a gilt ground, the neck and base each with four blade lappets centred by the flanges and decorated with 'C'-scrolls
Condition
Both vases have minor losses of enameling that have been filled with wax. The gilding has fine crackling to the body. While the gilding on the base appears to be quite shiny, we feel that the base and the gilding are original. The overall condition is quite good.
