well-potted with deep rounded sides rising to a lipped rim, the interior and exterior applied with a white slip, carved on the exterior with a pattern of vertical and U-shaped grooves glazed brown, all covered with a clear glaze, the foot left unglazed revealing the pale-gray body, three spur marks to the interior

The bowl has a restored break across approximately 2/3 of the vessel from rim to rim, corresponding to fluorescence when inspected under UV light and appearing slightly yellowish-gray on the glaze. Two tiny glaze chips on the rim. Some minor kiln grit to the interior well and an iron spot below the rim on the interior. In otherwise good condition.
