the ovoid body well-potted, vibrantly painted with two main registers of large scrolling lotus heads and feathery leaves, above upright lappets at the foot, the ruyi-head border below a short lip

Condition
The jar is in good overall condition, with minor surface abrasions, iron spots, and pinholes. A 4 inch Y-shaped glaze crack on the body. There is a 1/2 inch firing flaw under the lip.
