Description

each of shallow form, decorated in lime-green to the interior well with a stylized lotus head surrounded by scrolling lotus motifs, encircled by a double-gilt border, the cavetto painted with beribboned bajixiang ('Eight Buddhist Emblems'), the reverse with three floral scrolls (2)

Condition

Both in good condition. The foot rims each have little glaze chips. One dish with a small iron-spot and pinhole on the rim. The other dish with tiny pinpricks on the rim. The enamels are strong, although the yellow on the underside of one dish is slightly rubbed.
