the hunched figure seated with arms akimbo, the long expressive hands resting on his lap, loosely draped in a flowing robe applied with an icy-blue glaze, the edges of the robe decorated with clusters of leaves, double-gourds tied over his left shoulder, the emaciated body and expressive face unglazed and white, his curled lips open as if in mid-sentence, with bushy eyebrows and finely incised hair

Condition

In good overall condition with some light orange areas on the head and bare shoulder, possibly from firing.
