the rectangular cover cut from the top section of the box, painted with a long-tailed bird perched on the branch of a flowering tree which partially obscures a large moon, among rocks and bamboo, the box painted on four sides with prunus and lotus branches, the underside of the cover with a two-character inscription (2)

Condition

In generally good condition with very minor glaze chips and a 1/8 inch chip on the edge of the cover. Minor iron spots. Small chips on the rim of the box. The base appears to have been restored.
