Description
the tall elegant body with rounded shoulder tapering to the recessed base, incised around the exterior with a broad lotus scroll band between a flower-filled ruyi-head collar and a lotus lappet band, all surmounted by a narrow trumpet neck, covered overall with a light bluish-white glaze, Japanese wood box (2)

Condition
The vase is in good condition, with the luting lines visible, the top two luting lines accentuated with glaze pull and some firing flaws, one firing flaw running vertically approximately 1 inch. Some minor fritting and two saddle chips on the rim, the largest saddle chip 5/8 inch wide and with a small glaze chip. The body scattered with raised bumps (potting flaws), covered with glaze, one has two tiny burst air bubbles. The surface with negligible pinholes and small iron spots. The glazed base, with three firing flaws, the largest a Y-shape approximately 1 x 1/2 inch. The white has a slightly more bluish tint that the catalogue image suggests.
