Description

the two globular sections painted in underglaze-blue with large scrolling lotus and dramatically serrated leaves, the collar of the mid-section with a band of small scrolling lotus, below a border containing two beribboned ruyi-heads, the narrow neck painted with a double-floral diaper, with ruyi-head lappets on the short straight foot, Japanese wood box (2)

Condition

In generally good condition with minor surface abrasions, minor pinholes and iron-spots. The mouth is very slightly warped. The base possibly polished down. A small chip to the interior of the foot rim.
