Description
the central roundel of the cover carved with a fisherman seated beside the bank of a river under wutong, with a retreat and rocky outcrops on the far bank, bordered with a band of peony and chrysanthemum, with a similar band to the base, with a band of scrolling ruyi above and below the rim, the body core material of metal
Condition
There is some restoration to the lacquer to the cover in the upper section of the central roundel to the rocks and sky and river below. The rims of the cover and base have been retouched. There is some cracking and repair to the lacquer to the interior
