of flower form, each petal decorated with different diaper pattern, the four-character mark on the base readsYan Rufei yin (Seal of Yan Rufei), wood box

A Japanese Private Collection.
Condition
There is some chipping to the lacquer on the two border bands to the cover and the base. There is a loss of mother of pearl to the pomegranate spray to the interior cover and more mother of pearl loss to the spray to the interior base. There are areas of wear to the lacquer in four places on the base.
