Description
each broad round-shouldered body brightly enamelled with panels alternately enclosing pairs of cockerel and flowers, all reserved on a dense leafy chrysanthemum-scroll ground and within pink cash-diaper bands, the domed covers similarly decorated and surmounted by a biscuit lion finial
Condition
Both vases and covers are in very good overall condition with the exception of some minor enamel flakes to the petals on seven of the flowers on one side of one vase (largest flake 8mm long), restoration to the ears of one lion dog finial and the loss of one knot of its mane, restoration to one knot of the mane on the other lion finial, and minor firing and glaze imperfections and glaze scratches to both covers and vases.
