Description
standing wearing a long-sleeved flowing robe, holding a scroll in the left hand and a rosary in the right, the face with serene expression framed by a hooded cowl, the stone of very pale celadon-white tone, all supported on a rose-quartz lotus and wave base
Condition
With the exception of minute nibbles to the edges of the carving, and a possible polish to a small section of the rear bottom edge of the robe, the figure is in very good condition. It should be noted that the tone of the stone is very close to that illustrated in the catalogue. The stand has some chips and hairline cracks to the edges and extremities of the carving.
