Description
carved to the front face with a Daoist immortal holding a ruyi sceptre and his two attendants holding a peach and a stone chime standing on a rocky ledge above a waterfall, with Shoulao standing above them supported on a ruyi cloud scroll, the reverse with two bats hovering over blossoming trees, the stone of pale celadon tone, wood stand
Condition
The jade mountain is in very good overall condition with the exception of a 3x1mm., nick to the tip of one rock at the top left side, a possible polish to the tip of the rock to the middle area, an inclusion running through the middle of the stone from top to bottom, left to right with associated very minor nibbles, and a probable loss and associated polish to the top of the rock at botom left (next to figures).
It should be noted that the stone is of a slightly cooler bluish-green tone than the catalogue illustration would suggest.
