Description
the rounded sides rising from a flat base supported on five short conical feet, carved to the interior with a pair of carp amidst swirling water plants, the stone of pale celadon tone with caramel and white inclusions
Condition
With the exception of natural hairline cracks to the stone, including a circa 10cm crack to the rim, areas of calcification to the stone concentrated to the centre of the dish, a circa 3cm hairline crack to the centre of the dish, minute nibbles to the carved fish and very light overall scratches to the surface, this piece is in very good condition.
