Catalogue Note
A fine copy of the first edition, first impression (September 1909) of Montgomery's first sequal to her popular Anne of Green Gables. This copy is in a well-preserved example of the scarce dust jacket. Only three copies of Anne of Avonlea have appeared at auction in the last thirty-five years, none of them in a dust jacket.
