First edition. A very good copy of "a classic work on the North of Brazil .... The plates which illustrate Koster's book were executed according to his own drawings by a close relative. In the appendix he transcribes two monographs, rare today, which appeared in Rio in 1810 written by Arruda Camara" (Borba de Moraes).
