Woodcut printer's devise on title-page, 86 full-page woodcuts of water plants after P. van der Borcht by Arnaud Nicolai and G. van Kampen; lower fore-edge corner of title-page restored with final "i" of imprint in pen-and-ink facsimile, a little bit of faint marginal dampstaining towards the front. Contemporary limp vellum, plain endpapers and edges, remnants of ties, titled in ink on the spine and the lower edge; light soiling.
