Catalogue Note

The Wiener Werkstätte archive notes five lights of this design were executed between 1914 and 1915. Three lamps were for the cloakroom of Government Councillor Gallia's house. The other two were executed for the guest room of the Villa Skywa-Primavesi, a Villa which Hoffmann designed between 1913-1915. Originally intended as ceiling lights, they can also be mounted as wall lights.

The original designs for these ceiling lights are in the Wiener Werkstätte Archive held at the MAK-Österreichisches Museum für angewandte Kunst/Gegenwartskunst, Vienna.
