Condition

Two wall plates by Deck in good overall condition. Although the plates work well together, they are not a pair and have different marks and the foot rim underneath is treated differently. Both have two drilled holes for hanging application. Both show minor surface scratches, this is consistent with material. Green background, illustrated on the right side in the catalogue illustration: with minor glaze chipping to the underside. In the area of her hairpiece a minor hairline crack. Deck mark is rust red, in addition there is a circular impressed seal showing a male profile with 'Theodore Deck, Céramiste'. Turquoise background, illustrated on the left side in the catalogue illustration: This foot rim has a flater edge and is partially glazed. This plate has an impressed glazed Th.Deck mark. These two plates are ready for display.
