Description

  • Two deer from Snow White, [1937]
  • Acetate cell, framed and glazed
219 by 196mm., two cell set-up on wood veneer background with additional birds on four individual pieces of acetate laid down, mount apparently signed by Walt Disney, 'set up 32' on reverse of mount, framed and glazed, warping to cells, minor damage to veneer, movement within mount reveals adhesive at edges, slight browning to mount



Also included are a carbon copy of a letter to the Disney Archives and two replies. The archivist notes, on 28 February 1990, that the Disney Archives 'do not authentice, but the signatures on both mattes seem to be by Walt' (see next lot).
