The illustrations originate from the 1944 Collins publication Verses from Alice. The first shows Alice, the Gryphon and the Mock Turtle (from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland) and reproduced on page [12] of Verses from Alice. The second illustration shows the Walrus and the Carpenter from Tweedledum and  Tweedledee's song in Through the Looking-Glass and is reproduced on page [5]. The published volume uses Sherwood's calligraphic text.
