a fine association copy of the first "dr. thorndyke" novel and the first book published under the author's name. "Ellery Queen", both the collective pseudonymn of the Brooklyn cousins Daniel Natthan (alias Frederick Dannay) and Manford Lepofsky and the name of their fictional detective, is the most famous name in twentieth century American detective fiction.
