  • Two photographic portraits of Wilde by Napoleon Sarony
albumen prints, three-quarter-length, 152 x 103mm. and 148 x 106mm., both taken in January 1882 and showing the author in a braided velvet jacket carrying a cane, in one wearing a fur-lined overcoat holding gloves, and in the other wearing a cape and carrying a hat, numbered on negatives 21 and 24, mounted on card, one mounted as a cabinet card with photographer's facsimile signature and copyright, nicks at edges of one photograph, the other slightly faded
