The River War, 1900, second impression, 2 volumes original blue cloth; Ian Hamilton's March, New York: Longmans, Green and company, 1900, first american edition, original red cloth gilt; another copy; London to Ladysmith via Pretoria. Longmans, Green & Co., 1900, first edition, original cloth, soiled; My African Journey. Hodder & Stoughton, 1908, first edition, original pictorial red cloth, stained; India, Thornton Butterworth, 1931, first edition, original orange wrappers, wrappers torn; another copy, the rarer issue in orange cloth lettered in black; second impression of the same, in green wrappers; and many others, including:
a first edition of Savrola (with new endpapers), several sets of A History of the English-Speaking Peoples, 4 out of 6 volumes of the first edition of The World Crisis, an ex-library copy of Marlborough, 3 sets of the first edition of Lord Randolph Churchill, many volumes of the Speeches, plus numerous further sets or later editions of the above and other works by Churchill; [together with:] late photograph of Churchill, seated dressed in overcoat and hat, mounted and framed with autograph note ("from | Winston S. Churchill | Christmas | 1947") and a further collection of works on or related to Churchill, including Martin Gilbert's 8 volume biography and the 13 companion volumes; and a number of other works, including several on Margaret Thatcher (over 400)
