  • A Hellenistic Terracotta Horse, Magna Graecia
  • Length 9 in. 22.9 cm.
rearing and wearing an applied harness and formerly painted bridle with applied disk ornaments, with long spiral twisted tail and a circular hole on the back, probably for attachment of an Eros figure.

Condition

good and as described; legs (and probably the tail) repaired, the hooves chipped, one ear missing, topknot chipped and mane abraded, circular harness ornament on forehead re-attached, paint worn as shown.
