  • A Marble Head of a Woman, Magna Graecia
  • Height 11 in. 28 cm.
turned slightly to her left, the oval face with parted lips and straight nose, the neck carved for insertion into a statue.

Condition

Very back of head chipped or was never completed, proper left ear chipped, as are some areas of her hair visible in photo, small chip on lower lip, surface formerly encrusted in areas (see 1969 Basel catalogue photo) and since cleaned.
