  • A Marble Relief Head of a Dioskouros
  • Height 9 1/4 in. 23.5 cm.
carved in high relief, from a sarcophagus probably depicting the hunt of Meleager, the young deity with parted lips and long wavy hair surmounted by a pilos, his eyes with recessed pupils.

Condition

As shown, note missing nose and chipped lips, fresh minor chips on back of head, surface weathered.
