- A Byzantine Mosaic Panel with Leaping Feline
- 39 3/8 by 39 3/8 in. 100 by 100 cm.
depicting in multicolored tesserae a feline leaping to left, her couchant cub below, a tree at right.

Condition
Tesserae reset into heavy modern cement slab and bound with modern grout, some darker-colored tesserae, perhaps made of a softer or more friable stone, have deteriorated and sunk below surface of panel, which appears to have been polished up overall, light green tesserae in tree also damaged.
