Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is brighter and more vibrant, with the red tending more towards a deep cherry in the original. Condition: This work is in good condition. There is wear around all four corner tips and along all four edges with some associated hairline cracks and minor paint losses. There is a small impact mark with associated loss and cracking to the white pigment towards the lower left corner, partially visible in the catalogue illustration. There is a light stretcher mark running intermittently parallel to the bottom edge. On close examination there are a few faint light media accretions in the white areas of paint. There is a short fine rub mark to the right side of the lower edge of the white shape in the top right quadrant. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
