Condition
Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is much brighter and more vibrant in the original, with the darker blues tending more towards indigo, and the very soft areas of pigment tending more towards a power blue.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. There is some light wear and a few fine associated tension cracks in places along all four extreme edges. There is a small diagonal rub mark towards the bottom of the lower left hand quadrant between the two areas of yellow paint. There is a short extremely fine hairline crack to the centre of the lower edge. A pinprick-sized fly spot is visible adjacent to the centre of the left edge. There is some extremely light superficial dirt adhering to the surface throughout and the work would benefit from a light professional clean. No restoration is apparent under ultra-violet light.
